Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how SilentHire uses cookies and similar technologies (e.g. browser storage such as LocalStorage) to keep our platform functional. We do not use any tracking, analytics, or marketing cookies. For anonymous, aggregated usage statistics we use the cookie-less service Vercel Analytics (see our privacy policy), which operates without cookies and does not identify individual users across devices.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device to enable basic website functions. In addition, similar technologies such as LocalStorage (and, depending on configuration, SessionStorage) may be used to store information in your browser.
We use exclusively technically necessary cookies or comparable technologies that are required for the secure operation and login process on SilentHire.
2. Which cookies and technologies do we use?
- Supabase Auth session (cookie or browser storage)
For login and session management we use Supabase Auth. This stores technically necessary session information (e.g. a session/auth token) so you can stay logged in and the platform functions securely. Depending on the technical configuration, this happens either via cookies and/or via browser storage (e.g. LocalStorage). Without this information, access to your account is not possible. - Local storage (e.g. LocalStorage)
In addition, certain status information may be stored locally in your browser so that basic platform functions run reliably (e.g. login status). This information is not used for tracking, analytics, or marketing purposes and is not shared with third parties for such purposes. - Language setting (cookie “tg_locale”)
When you switch the language or open an English page (address with /en), we store your language choice (“de” or “en”) for up to 12 months so that login, registration and your account also appear in that language.
3. Legal basis
The storing and reading of technically necessary cookies or comparable technologies on your device is based on § 25 (2) TDDDG (formerly TTDSG), as this information is strictly necessary to provide you with the digital service you explicitly requested (SilentHire).
The subsequent processing of personal data (e.g. authentication data) is based on:
- Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract and pre-contractual measures) and
- Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a secure and functioning platform).
4. Managing and deleting cookies
You can delete or block cookies and local storage content at any time in your browser settings. Please note that SilentHire may not function, or may only function with limitations, without technically necessary cookies or comparable technologies (e.g. login may not be possible).
5. Changes to this policy
We reserve the right to adapt this Cookie Policy in the event of technical or legal changes. The version published on this page is always the current, applicable version.
