Frequently asked questions about SilentHire
Here you'll find answers about the process, anonymity, pricing and the trial period.
General
SilentHire is an anonymous B2B platform: companies publish discreet job postings, recruiters propose matching candidate profiles including their fee – upon acceptance, contact details are released (by email and in the request) and you go straight into direct exchange.
With anonymous recruiting, both sides' company name and contact details stay hidden until a specific candidate profile is actively accepted. Only then does SilentHire release the contact details – by email and in the request. This lets companies search discreetly and recruiters place candidates discreetly, without disclosing contact details beforehand.
Yes. SilentHire is exclusively for recruiters and companies looking to hire.
Yes. SilentHire is designed for recruiters, headhunters, staffing agencies and specialized temp agencies who want to present candidate profiles discreetly to companies looking to hire.
Recruiting generally refers to placing candidates with companies looking to hire in exchange for a commission. Headhunting is a specialized form of this, where matching candidates are actively and specifically sought out, usually for specialist and leadership positions. On SilentHire, both recruiters and headhunters can submit candidate profiles for anonymous job postings.
Yes. Both recruiters and companies are reviewed and verified by SilentHire before any first exchange – usually within 24 hours of submitting the profile. This protects both sides from fake profiles and ensures serious requests.
Yes, companies can post jobs either as classic placement or as temporary staffing (Arbeitnehmerüberlassung) – shown via the job-type badge. Recruiters who offer temporary staffing confirm once in their profile that they hold a valid permit under Section 1 of the German AÜG (Arbeitnehmerüberlassungsgesetz).
For classic placement, you state a fee rate as a percentage of the annual gross salary – for temporary staffing, there's no such rate. Instead, you state your billing rate (usually hourly) directly in the request to the company. The company doesn't set a price on the job posting itself – the price comes from you as the recruiter, per request.
For recruiters
1) You find anonymized jobs. 2) You submit an anonymized candidate profile – with your fee in % for placements, with your terms (billing rate) for temporary staffing. 3) The company accepts a candidate profile. 4) SilentHire releases the contact details: both sides receive them by email and see them in the request – from then on you communicate directly.
Before acceptance, the company sees your recruiter profile in anonymized form as well as the candidate proposal including fee and note. Contact details are only released after acceptance.
Yes. Every submitted candidate profile has its own anonymous chat directly on SilentHire. You can use it to clarify questions – for example about availability or salary expectations – without either side revealing their identity. Email addresses, phone numbers and links are blocked automatically in the chat until the contact release happens.
For classic placement, you state your fee rate as a percentage (based on the annual gross salary) when submitting the candidate profile. If the company accepts the proposal, this rate is the basis for the collaboration. Example: at €80,000 annual gross and a 20% fee rate, that's a placement fee of €16,000. For temporary staffing there's no % rate – instead you state your billing rate directly in the request. You can save a default rate in your profile that pre-fills every new temporary staffing request.
In recruiting, commission rates typically range between about 20% and 35% of the annual gross salary, depending on the position, industry and market conditions. On SilentHire, every recruiter sets their own rate per candidate profile – companies see it directly with the proposal and decide individually. SilentHire itself receives none of it.
Yes, you can submit several matching candidate profiles. Quality beats quantity: a few, very well-matching candidate profiles with a clear short note work best. SilentHire automatically detects identical documents for the same job.
Yes. Once your profile is verified, you invite colleagues by email under “Account & settings” → “Agency team”. Each person works with their own login and only sees their own requests and candidate profiles; sharing login details is not allowed. Verification, the temporary staffing permit and the subscription run through your account, so team members do not need their own subscription. Each team member adds €79 (monthly plan) or €59 (annual plan) per month to your subscription.
We actively make sure of it. Companies have to respond to every proposal within 3 days, and after a contact release we ask whether the position was filled. If a company stops responding, its job is paused and no longer visible to you – so you do not prepare candidates for positions that are already done.
Yes. Only submit candidates who have agreed to be presented anonymously and have been informed about the data processing. You confirm this with every submission – the time is documented.
For companies
Job postings are displayed anonymized. Contact details are only released once you accept a candidate profile – after that, communication runs directly between you and the recruiter.
No, not from the start. At first you only see the anonymized candidate proposal including the fee. Only when you actively accept a candidate profile do you also release your contact details – without acceptance, they stay hidden.
Yes. As the account owner, you invite colleagues to your team by email. Team members see your jobs and proposals, can accept or decline proposals, manage jobs and receive the related email notifications – you still manage the company profile and the team. Team use is free as well.
Both sides automatically receive an email with the contact details; they are also shown in the request. The candidate profile stays protected on the platform. From then on, you organize the process directly between yourselves.
Yes. As soon as you have completed your company profile and submitted it for review, you can create jobs. Recruiters will see them once your company is verified – matching job alerts are then sent automatically.
Yes. You decide freely which candidate profiles you accept. No contact is established as long as you don't accept.
When the deadline expires, please send an availability request or decline. If a request still remains unanswered, SilentHire pauses your open jobs and temporarily blocks publishing new ones – until all open requests are resolved. In the first 30 days after your verification, there are only reminders, no block yet.
As long as you are hiring, yes. If we do not hear from you for a while – for example no answer to our question whether the position was filled, or 60 days without activity in your account – we ask by email whether the job is still open. One click is enough to answer. Without a reply we pause the job so that recruiters do not prepare candidates for a position that is already done. Nothing is deleted: one click and the job is active again.
No. For temporary staffing, you don't set a price when posting the job – you only choose the job type. The recruiter states the billing rate directly in their request, and you see it before releasing contact.
Pricing & subscription
The monthly plan costs €179.95 per month, the annual plan €129.95 per month (12-month minimum term). There is no commission on your fee – the subscription is the only charge. Additional team members from your agency cost €79 (monthly plan) or €59 (annual plan) per person per month on top. All details are on the pricing page for recruiters.
Nothing. Companies use SilentHire without a platform fee – including for their team. Costs only arise from working with the recruiter: the agreed fee for a successful placement, or the billing rate for temporary staffing.
Yes. Every new registration as a recruiter starts with a 30-day free trial period – no payment details required. After that, you choose your monthly or annual subscription in the “Subscription” section.
In the “Subscription” section you cancel at the end of the term in just a few clicks: the monthly plan ends at the end of the current billing month, the annual plan at the earliest after the 12-month minimum term. You keep full access until then.
Privacy & security
Yes. SilentHire is designed for data protection under the GDPR: contact details are only transmitted after both sides actively release them, not before. You can find details in our privacy policy.
We protect your data through technical and organizational measures and only use it to operate the platform (matching and email handoff). Contact details are only released once a candidate profile has been accepted. After that, both sides receive the details by email so they can communicate directly with each other.
Every CV is automatically checked for email addresses, phone numbers and links before delivery – including scanned documents and photos. If a file contains contact details, the submission is stopped and the recruiter is notified. In the anonymous chat, contact details are also blocked automatically until the release.
Contact details are only released once a candidate profile has been accepted – then the recruiter and company receive the details by email and in the request so they can continue directly.
