Read the CV instead of retyping it

In the recruiter area you can read a CV (PDF or Word) directly: the tool pre-fills the template and leaves out name, contact details, address and date of birth; employers are only shown as a hint. The CV is processed only in your browser – not uploaded and not stored. If you like, you keep finished profiles in your library and select them with one click for proposals.

Checklist: what has to go before sending

A candidate profile is only truly anonymous once nothing points to the person any more.

Person

  • Name and photo
  • Date of birth and age
  • Marital status
  • Nationality and religion

Contact details

  • Address – only name the region
  • Email address and phone number
  • LinkedIn or XING profile
  • Personal website

Clues

  • Employer names – better industry and size
  • Names of managers, clients or projects
  • Rare combination of university and subject
  • Named awards

File

  • File name without the name, e.g. “Candidate-profile-C-0421.pdf”
  • Author in the file properties
  • Comments and tracked changes
  • Ideally send it as a PDF

Without photo, age and marital status, the company decides on qualifications – which also protects against discrimination under the German AGG.

Notes for the recipient: protect your introduction

At the end of the template there is a confidentiality notice. It makes your terms visible before the company uses the profile.

Confidentiality

For internal review only, not to be passed on to third parties – including other staffing agencies.

No direct approach

Contact with the candidate goes through you.

Fee protection

A hire within, for example, 12 months of your introduction – including for a different position – triggers the agreed fee.

Data protection

The candidate has agreed; the company deletes the profile if it no longer considers them.

Suggested wording, not legal advice: the notice does not replace an agreement with the company. Have it adapted to your contracts once.

What makes a strong candidate profile

Results, not tasks

“Cut the month-end close from 8 to 5 days” says more than “responsible for month-end close”.

Short and relevant

One to two pages, and only what matters for exactly this position.

Your assessment

Your impression from the interview is what a company would not have without you.

Present anonymously on SilentHire

If you use the template for a proposal on SilentHire, leave out your logo and agency name – including in the notice at the end: you stay anonymous until the contact release. The platform automatically checks uploaded documents for contact details and records your introduction with a timestamp; your fee rate is part of the proposal from the start. The candidate profile stays protected on the platform.

How SilentHire works for recruiters

Frequently asked questions about candidate profiles

What is a candidate profile?

A short, structured summary of a candidate for a specific position: key facts, career history, skills and the recruiter's assessment. The company sees at a glance whether an interview is worthwhile.

How does a candidate profile differ from a CV?

The candidate writes the CV themselves, complete and with all personal details. The recruiter creates the candidate profile: shorter, tailored to the position, with their assessment – and anonymous for the first introduction.

How do I anonymize a candidate profile?

Remove everything that points to the person: name, photo, contact details and exact address, but also names of employers, managers or projects. Describe employers by industry and size. The checklist above shows all points.

May I pass on a candidate profile without consent?

This is not advisable: even an anonymous profile can allow conclusions about the person. Obtain the candidate's consent before sending their profile to a company, and tell them where it is going.

Does the notice at the end protect my fee?

It helps but does not replace an agreement: your fee claim arises from your contract with the company. The notice makes your terms visible before the profile is used and records when you presented the candidate.

May I use the template freely?

Yes. You can use it for as many candidates as you like, adapt it and add your logo – including outside SilentHire. You may remove the small “Created with silenthire.de” note in the footer.
